Claudefall
Mid-power Gruul landfall. Every land is a spell: the deck plays two, three, six lands
a turn, and each one that touches the battlefield becomes an elemental, a beast, an
extra combat step, or five damage to a face.

Why this commander
Omnath, Locus of Rage
is both halves of the deck at once — a token engine that scales with land drops, and a
damage engine that punishes the table for answering the tokens. Landfall makes a 5/5;
when any elemental dies it deals 3 damage to any target. A board wipe cast against
Omnath is a Fireball pointed at everyone.
Game plan
Early (T1–T3)
- Dork, rock, or an Exploration effect — Birds, Llanowar Elves, Sol Ring, Nature’s Lore
- Get Exploration, Burgeoning, Azusa or Dryad of the Ilysian Grove online
- Hold fetchlands. They are stored landfall triggers and worth more later
Mid (T4–T6)
- Omnath, Rampaging Baloths or Scute Swarm — now every stored fetch is a body
- Lotus Cobra and Tireless Provisioner turn land drops back into mana
- Hold Heroic Intervention before committing the turn that wins
Late / kill
- Splendid Reclamation or Scapeshift for one enormous landfall turn
- Warstorm Surge or Terror of the Peaks converts tokens straight to damage
- Craterhoof Behemoth or Garruk’s Uprising if it has to happen through combat
What you beat / lose to
- Favored: fair midrange, battlecruiser, creature decks that trade on board
- Struggles: Blood Moon and land taxes, graveyard exile, true cEDH combo

61 nonland cards, average 3.70, median 3. The spike at three is deliberate — nearly every
three-drop is an extra land drop, a recursion engine, or a payoff that earns on the turn
you cast it. The top end is short because the deck wants to cast seven-drops off ramp,
not wait on them.

Cards marked LF are ramp that is also a landfall trigger. Counting
those two and Omnath himself, fifteen cards in the deck fire on a land drop.
Lines that end games
- Omnath + Warstorm Surge. Every land drop is a 5/5 that immediately throws five damage at a face. Two fetches and a land for turn is fifteen damage before anyone blocks.
- Omnath + Ancient Greenwarden. Landfall triggers double, so one land is two elementals — and Greenwarden replays lands from the graveyard that the fetches keep refilling.
- Splendid Reclamation with Omnath out. Cracked fetches, sacrificed Sakura-Tribe Elders and Harrow lands all return at once. Six lands back is thirty power in one trigger stack.
- Moraug + a handful of fetchlands. Crack them during first combat. Each hands you another combat phase and untaps the team, and Moraug pumps the attackers each time.
- Avenger of Zendikar, then any land. Plants equal to your land count, then a counter on each. Craterhoof or Garruk’s Uprising makes that unblockable trample damage.
- Scute Swarm past six lands. Copies start copying. Field of the Dead adds a Zombie per land on top; Impact Tremors makes the count itself the kill.
- Blasphemous Act as a finisher, not a reset. With a board of elementals it kills the table’s creatures and points three damage per dead elemental wherever you want it.
- Cultivator Colossus into a hand of lands. Discard a land, put it onto the battlefield, draw. It chains as long as you keep hitting lands — with Omnath that is a token and a card every loop.
Mulligan rule
Two or three lands with a green source, plus either a ramp spell or an Exploration effect.
A one-lander is a mulligan even with Sol Ring — this deck cannot function on a single land
drop per turn. Azusa or Burgeoning with two lands beats a seven-drop with four lands.
Deck legality: 100 cards, singleton outside basic lands, everything inside Red / Green
color identity, nothing on the Commander ban list.
